Current Forms:

CSF Application for 2024 :

Requirements: To Apply for CSF, your grades from the previous semester are calculated based on a point system, on top of a $5 dollar membership fee. If you were a member during the fall semester, please fill out the application to renew your membership for the spring semester!

Outside Hours for 2024:

Use this form to log hours from outside, independent, volunteering events that are not affilated with CSF / other school clubs. (Ex. Food banks, churches, Mentoring). These hours can contribute to CSF's annual awards! (Bronze/Silver/Gold)

  • I am a freshman. Do I need to report my middle school grades when I fill out the CSF application?
Nope. You only need to report your grades once you have completed one semester of high school. You will start reporting your grades during the second semester of Freshman year and beyond.
  • I would like to pay my club dues. How do I do so?
Feel free to visit the webstore to pay your $5 club dues or hand them to our treasurer after one of our meetings. If you have any problems, please contact our treasurer with the contact information above. If you need financial assistance, feel free to contact our advisors Nina Asuncion at nasuncion@cv.k12.ca.us, or Alma De la Rosa at adelarosa@cv.k12.ca.us.
  • Is there a minimum number of hours I have to complete to stay in CSF?
No! We are different from most clubs as we do not have a minimum requirement. We do this to ensure that everyone can join CSF, and your membership is not determined by your participation. If you would like to get recognition for your participation, you can receive an award at the end of the school year. To get bronze, silver, and gold awards you must complete a certain amount of hours through CSF (or through outside hours, which you can submit in the form above).
  • Can I reuse old outside hours from CJSF to put into the outside hours form?
No, unfortunately. Why is this answer so short? My doctor said I don't have pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis, so I'm feeling supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!
  • What are Outside Hours? Do they count for the annual bronze, silver, and gold awards?
Outside hours are any acts of community service that you complete through sources other than CSF. For example, if you were to volunteer at your church, it would not count as CSF hours UNLESS CSF is hosting the event (meaning, there are sign ups for the event through CSF). Outside hours DO count towards the bronze, silver, and gold awards.
  • What are bronze, silver, and gold awards?
At the end of each year, we award students bronze, silver, and gold awards for their involvement in CSF. Your accumulated hours from the beginning of each school year add up (if you stay a CSF member for both semesters) to the end of the year. These awards are awarded for both CSF Hours, (CSF affilated events) as well as outside hours! Bronze award recipients would have completed 10 hours of CSF community service, silver award recipients would have completed 20 hours, and gold award recipients would have completed 30 hours. Please note that we do not round up hours (so 29.5 hours would still count towards a silver award). If you would like to know how many hours you have completed, please contact one of the officers or check the membership spreadsheet on this website.
  • I signed up for an event. How do I know if I will be volunteering?
If you sign up for an event, you will be added to the list of that event’s volunteers. If you would like verification, please contact one of the officers (especially the one that is in charge of the event).
  • I can’t make it anymore to an event I signed up for. What should I do?
Please contact one of the officers ASAP! We need to know who is/is not coming. We totally understand if something comes up; we would prefer you let us know than be a no-show (as some events require a certain number of people to help out, or might have a limited amount of volunteer supplies).
  • Do freshmen have to pay for the second semester to stay in CSF?
Yes, freshmen are required to pay dues of $5 to remain in CSF for the second semester. We hope that you will continue joining us in the second semester for more volunteer events and our end-of-the-year CSF awards!
